Luke 1:37, NIV For no word from God will ever fail.
There are many verses over the last several years I have clung to, and Luke 1:37 is definitely one of them. It is especially incredible when we consider the context. The speaker is the Archangel Gabriel. He is talking to a teenage girl called Mary about a virgin birth. Okay, I mean, for real? This is not a normal conversation, and it’s an Archangel to boot!!! Most of us probably know the story about the virgin Mary giving birth to Jesus, this is a huge miracle for us, but it’s not for God!
That’s what I want to focus on; no word from God will ever fail because He is able to do everything He says! Jeremiah 32:27 says, “I am the Lord, the God of all humankind. There is, indeed, nothing too difficult for me, and Jesus says in Mark 10:27, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
So, what these verses are saying is no matter how big your problem seems to you, there is nothing too big for our God! This should give you great comfort; I know it does me! So whenever you face a problem, pray God’s promises over it because we already know God’s word will NEVER fail!
Psalm 145:13 says, “The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.
If you’re in need of God’s healing touch, either physically, emotionally, financially, or with your relationships, there is no better prayer than to pray God’s word back to Him. When you pray God’s prayer back to Him, you are agreeing with Him.
2 Corinthians 1:20, “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascend to God for his glory.
Do you need healing?
Our God will never leave or forsake you. He has said in His word that it is His desire to see us prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers.
James 5:14-15 NKJV,” Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
Psalm 103:2-3 NKJV, “Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits, Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”
Do you need provision?
Philippians 4:19, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
2 Corinthians 9:9-11, “As it is written: “He has scattered abroad His gifts to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion…”
How about your children to follow God?
Pray for your child to follow God and have a heart like God’s. It doesn’t matter if your child is young or an adult; praying scriptures over them is powerful!
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Psalm 103:17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children.
What about protection?
Who better to protect you than the One who spoke and the worlds were born?
Psalm 18:2, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:30, “This God—his way is perfect, the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
What about a healthy marriage?
Marriage is a beautiful gift from God, and it takes God to keep our marriage healthy, happy, and strong. It doesn’t matter if you’ve just gotten married or you have been married for over 50 years; praying scriptures over your marriage is showing great love!
Romans 12:9-13, “Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.”
Romans 15:5-6, “May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
No matter what you need or are facing, your answer is in the Word of God. Pray God’s promise to Him, for no word of God has ever failed!
