The 4 W’s of the Unstoppable Woman

Just who is the unstoppable woman? What makes her unstoppable?

As I share with you four characteristics of the unstoppable woman, I want to encourage you to read each scripture. Consider looking the scriptures up in your Bible. Highlight the ones that speak to your heart. Write them on an index card and choose one a day to meditate on. His Words will have a lasting impact. His Word has power and will transform you into the unstoppable woman you were created to be.

She is WONDERFULLY made.

The unstoppable woman knows who made her. She knows that she has been wonderfully made. Elizabeth George says, “Resolve never to criticize or downgrade yourself, but instead rejoice that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Let’s see what the scripture says about us being wonderfully made.

Psalms 139:13-15 for you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Psalms 119:73a Your hands made me and formed me.

Psalms 100:3 Know that the Lord is God.    It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture

Isaiah 44:24 “This is what the Lord says –    your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:

I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself,

That’s exciting…. Those scriptures show us that the God of the universe made us!

There’s more. We were not only made wonderfully; God has chosen us to do good things.

But you are his chosen people, the King’s priests. You are a holy nation, people who belong to God. He chose you to tell about the wonderful things he has done. He brought you out of the darkness of sin into his wonderful light.   I  Peter 2:9

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we were created to do good things.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Great news… we don’t do those good works on our own. The Lord, our God, gives us gifts to accomplish everything He gives us to do. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “God has shown you his grace in many different ways. So be good servants and use whatever gift he has given you in a way that will best serve each other.”

Just in case you need more convincing. Read Isaiah 43:1 He has redeemed you, and He has called you by name. You are His.

Say these statements out loud. Let them soak into your spirit.

I am His

I am wonderfully made

I am chosen by Him

I was created to do good things

I have been given gifts to serve Him and others

She is WEDDING ready

To be wedding ready, the bride must be prepared. The Bride prepares herself for the wedding and the marriage. Many of us spent great time, effort, care, and even money preparing for our wedding day. We plan and get everything in order. We want our wedding to meet our childhood dreams. We don’t typically just show up at the altar and hope all is well.

Matthew 25:1-13 tells the story of 10 virgins. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The foolish virgins were not ready and missed out when the Bridegroom arrived. The wise virgins were ready and went with the Bridegroom when he arrived.    Read about the Bride making herself ready in Revelations 19:6-9.

Please don’t get me wrong – wedding ready is not about works. You can’t do enough good works to be ready. It is a heart issue. When your heart is in love with the Bridegroom – you can’t help but be ready for Him. You are eagerly awaiting His return. You spend time with Him. You spend time with Him by being in His Word, praying, worshiping. You do life with Him.

You get ready for this wedding by giving your heart and life over to Jesus. You make Him your Lord and Savior. You fully surrender to Him.

She is a WARRIOR

Our third W stands for Warrior. As we look at this characteristic, we need to start by remembering His ways are not our ways.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.    “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,    so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

When we talk about warring, we realize we do not war against flesh and blood, but against principalities and rulers of darkness Ephesians 6:12

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

The Lord will train you for battle. Psalm 18:34 and Psalm 144:1-2 talk about the Lord training your hands for battle.    We see in the scriptures when people sought the Lord, He would give them the plan, the strategy for defeating the enemy.

So, what are our weapons? Here are a few: Prayer, Worship, and the Word of God.

Take a few minutes to read what scripture says about prayer

The Lords Prayer Matthew 6

Praying about everything Philippians 4:6-7

Coming boldy to His throne Hebrews 4:16

Confident that He hears us 1 John 5:14

Move a mountain Matthew 11:22-25

Holy Spirit prays through us Romans 8:26-27

Pulling down strong holds 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

2 Chronicles 20 shares a powerful story of worship destroying the enemy.

I encourage you to read the entire chapter. But here is a brief recap. They sought the Lord. The Lord gave them a plan – send the worshippers first. The worshippers led as they went into battle. The enemy got so confused that they killed themselves.

That brings us to the fourth W of an UNSTOPPABLE Woman

She is a WORSHIPPER

Here are some scriptures that talk about worship.

Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath – PTL

Acts 16:25 Paul and Silas worship while in jail, shackled – and shackles fall

John 4:24 Worship in Spirit and in truth

Psalm 103:1 Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Psalm 71:8 My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.

Ladies – we are unstoppable as we realize we are Wonderfully made, Stay wedding-ready, Take our position as a warrior, and Worship with all that is within us… holding nothing back

My true passion is the local church. I enjoy encouraging other women to find their hope, joy, peace, and direction in our Lord Jesus. James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” That is my heartbeat; drawing near to Him and helping others draw near to Him.
