This past March I was at a Prayer retreat – God was showing me so much about his flow, and how he wants to strengthen us and use us by his spirit.
This is how a natural spring is created:
Springs occur when water pressure causes a natural flow of groundwater onto the earth’s surface. … This pressure moves water through the crevices and tunnels within the aquifer, and this water flows out naturally to the surface at places called springs.
You can look at this spiritually, God is the source of our water pressure and we are the crevice and tunnels being used as his hands and feet. We need to let his spirit flow in and through us to benefit everyone God places in our path.
He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’”
Song of Solomon 4:15
“You are a fountain in a garden, A well of fresh and living water, and streams flowing from Lebanon.”
As I saw water coming out of the hill and under a bridge one day I thought this water is only flowing because it has a natural source, it was a continuous flow which made me think of how clean and pure it was. This is exactly what God wants for us. If we are connected to the spring of heaven, God will give us the living water that will naturally flow from us, and we will begin to see people changed, His spirit will affect everyone that crosses our path even our shadow, God can use his spirit for healing and joy, we will see bondages break just by being in our presence If we are connected to Him.
to such an extent that they even carried their sick out into the streets and put them on cots and sleeping pads, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on one of them [with healing power].
This should be us! we will have some obstacles along the way, but if we stay connected to the natural flow of his spirit He will guide us through every obstacle the devil will put in our path trying to stop us from staying connected. We need to be a tree planted by the water.
And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
Things in our life may come to dry up the flow, we have to stay in His word!! Feed our spirit man. A dry spring or a river that has a dam doesn’t do what God intended it to do.
Great is your faithfulness! Put your faith in Jesus He is our anchor to the ground our Hope and our firm foundation He never lets us down!!
