We know the Scripture states:
God is present everywhere!
But do we have to “feel” that God is there to “know” that He is there?
God’s Presence is His Working
God is present without us being overwhelmed with feelings of love, joy, and praise. His Presence is in our Soul. His Spirit is His work. The dwelling of His Presence continues working in our Souls until he has transformed everything within us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. Christ in us, and we in Him, and both by one Spirit.
1st John 4:13 states: “This is how we know that we live in Him and He in us.” He has given us His Spirit. Christ dwells in our hearts by faith, and we dwell in Christ by Love.
Ephesians 3:17 states: “So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and I pray that you are being rooted and established in Love.”
1st John 4:16 states: “And so, we know, and rely, on the Love God has for us. God is Love. Whoever lives in Love, lives in God, and God in them.”
The more we are transformed through the Holy Spirit by prayer, submission, and obedience to the Word of God and Love for Christ, the more we will know His presence.
As Robert L Domokos put it: “Living with a constant awareness of God’s Presence can, and should, produce a significant and positive difference in our lives.”
Living with a constant awareness of God’s Presence will keep us from sin. Awareness of His closeness will remind us that sin offends and grieves Him.
TPT-Psalms 97:14 states: “So, may the words of my mouth, my meditation- thoughts at every moment of my heart be acceptable before your eyes, my Redeemer, my Protector-God.”
Living with a constant awareness of God’s Presence will keep us secure. Awareness of His closeness will remind us that He keeps us and that He cares about us.
NLT-Psalms 31:20 states: “You hide them in the shelter of your Presence.” “Safe from those who conspire against them.” “You shelter them in your Presence.” Psalms 31:23 states: “Love the Lord all Godly ones!” “For the Lord protects those who are loyal to Him…”
God’s special, gracious, Presence is His activity in our hearts and lives.
The more we are aware of the Holy Spirit through prayer, submission, and obedience to the Word of God and Love for Christ, the more we will know His Presence 24/7.
Paula Mace
I love being a wife, mother, and grandmother. I was blessed to have been born in a family where my dad was in the ministry. My love, Wilson Mace, is my husband who I have been married to this September, for 34 years. Melissa, Ryan, and LaVonne are three beautiful gifts from God.
