He Did Not Throw Us Away

On a Sunday morning, as we were worshipping about God’s love and mercy, I started thinking about the words we were singing, GOD’S MERCY!! My mind went to “God, thank you for not throwing me away.”

After we worshipped and sat down, my mind went to Adam and Eve, “God did not throw them away.”

All the complaining the Israelites did, “God did no throw them away.” Peter denying Christ, “God did not throw him away. “Wow, God, thank you so much for not throwing me away!

As the days passed by, I started thinking about the statement, God not throwing us away.” So, I looked at the story about Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve lived in a beautiful garden. God created Adam and Eve in His Image. He wanted them to rule over the land and the sea. God wanted to communicate and display His glory, His greatness, His beauty, His worth. God wanted to share His love. However, Adam and Eve choose to disobey God, so He cast them out of the garden. He did not throw them away.

(Genesis 2:4-25, Genesis 3)

As I pondered on this, I thought of the different people in the Bible who rebelled, disobeyed, and rejected God. God still did not throw mankind away.

In the Old Testament, God made a way for mankind to make an atonement. The people had to make sacrifices, yet, they still struggled to live a life that God wanted them to live. Throughout the Old Testament, what God went through with mankind He did not throw them away. God wanted to communicate and display His glory, His beauty, His greatness, His worth. God wanted to share His love. GOD HAD A PLAN!

In John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God and the word was God. (2) He was with God in the beginning. (3) Through Him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (4) The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

Who is the Word? It is Jesus Christ. Jesus was with God the Father at the beginning of creation. In John 17b, Jesus is praying to his Father, “You loved me before the creation of this world. They had complete unity of purpose.

God wanted to share His love. In John 4:8b God is love. In verse nine, it states, “this is how God showed his love among us. He sent His one and only son into the world that we might live through Him. (10) This is love not that we love God, but that he loves us and sent his son as an anointing sacrifice for our sins.

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of out God and Father Galatians 1:14

Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and purify for himself people that are his very own eager to do what is good. Titus 2:14

This was part of God’s plan for he was chosen and destined for this before the foundation of the earth was laid. 1 Peter 1:20TPT

Jesus was willing to lay down his life He was willing to sacrifice himself for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God.

After Jesus had died, risen again, and ascended to heaven, He sent us the Holy Spirit to be with us.

John 14-:16-17b AMP and I will as the Father and He will give you another Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor-Counselor, Strengthener, Standby, to be with you forever-(17b you know Him because of the Holy Sprit remains with you continually and will be in you.)

This is so awesome. Before the foundation of creation, God the Father, Jesus Christ, already had a plan NOT to throw us away, but to have communication and display His glory, His greatness, His beauty, His worth, and share His Love.

Thank you, Father, thank you, Jesus, for your plan and for not throwing us away.
